A year?!?! what a year!

A year has come and gone and in that year I have become a grandmother! What a world of difference that makes in ones life! What a joy unspeakable it is! I've had little time for tea parties for I've put my heart into knitting sweet little things for the grandchild-to-be who arrived on Epiphany Sunday this year - January 6th. Avery was born and welcomed into the hearts and arms of many family members. One small girl has drawn the hearts of the family members to beat almost as one; we love her, we love her parents, and we share this new joy.

One new child.

Come shop!

Browse my tea pretties, they are wonderful for tea for one, two, or more!

I am a tea lover, I enjoy loose leaf tea the most but will sip a cup of tea made with a tea bag when at a friends. I co-moderate a tea group and belong to other online tea groups. My love of tea time and tea parties began years ago when Emilie Barnes first published the book If Teacups Could Talk. That began my collection of tea pots, tea cups and saucers, tea spoons, and all the other accessories one 'needs' for a proper pot of tea.

I have collected recipes and learned so very much about hospitality as my enjoyment of tea has grown. There is simply no easier, more delightful way to spend time with a friend or family member than with a cup of tea. Its a means of listening, sharing, and caring.

Whew!

If it isn't already obvious, this is my first blog set up. I did it on the fly and I'm certain it shows! I had a sale of my items this past Saturday to benefit my daughter and son-in-love who are going on the mission field to south Africa in 2008. After our repair/remodeling it made sense to share my overwhelming number of tea items and to do so in a way that would benefit them. So that is the second purpose in my sale of the tea lovelies on this blog.
